Not-for-profit initiatives

Dental Practice Safety backs a number of charitable organizations including Threads of Life and Partners for Life. We also provide direct support in the community through an intensive speaking and webinar schedule. By providing both financial and educational support to workers involved in dentistry and to the communities in which we live and work, we will achieve the larger goal of achieving health and safety for everyone.

Threads of Life
Dental Practice Safety are proud supporters of Threads of Life, the Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support. Threads of Life is a national charitable organization dedicated to supporting the journey of healing of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, life-altering illness or occupational disease.

Threads of Life supports grieving families through volunteer Family Guides, regional Family Forums, the Threads newsletter, and the annual Steps for Life walk. Their Speakers Bureau members are available to bring their powerful message to company health and safety awareness events.

Partners for Life
Partners for Life is a nationwide program that is designed for corporate and community organizations. By joining the Dental Practice Safety program, you make a commitment to save lives by donating blood as a team.

The need for blood is ongoing, and patients who are treated for such things as cancer, surgery and trauma depend on a stable supply of blood year round, which is why Partners for Life organizations have the power to save lives!

With every blood donation you make, you save lives. By donating, you share your health and vitality with someone who needs it. Whether it’s for someone in your community or someone on the other side of the country, your single donation makes a difference in the lives of others.

Contact us at safety@actfirstsafety.ca to join the Dental Practice Safety Partners for Life blood donation team.
